Medical Care
Rice has a local dentist, chiropractor and veterinarian and has easy access to many health care services located in St. Cloud which is only 15 minutes away, including: hospitals, clinics, chiropractic, dental, orthodontic, pharmaceutical and animal care.
St Cloud Hospital
The St. Cloud Hospital - A Regional Medical Center - is located approximately 14 miles south of Rice. The hospital provides a wide variety of specialty services to Central Minnesota. The hospital's medical staff of about 230 physicians includes all major specialties. The St. Cloud Hospital has organized their major services into seven care centers. They are: the Central Minnesota Heart Center; Medical/Oncology Center; Behavioral Health Center; Orthopedic/Neurology and Rehabilitation Services; Parent, Child and Women's Services; Home Care Center; and Special Care Services. The hospital also has an extensive addition dedicated to outpatient services; which includes the Emergency Trauma Center, the Central Minnesota Heart Center, the Kidney Dialysis Unit, the Center for Surgical Center, the Laboratory, Encoscopy services and the Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic.
The hospital has the region's most comprehensive trauma and emergency center and is the only Central Minnesota hospital able to provide a continuum of care for patients with head injury and other neurological problems. This hospital also includes Central Minnesota's most complete orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation program, which is among the largest in the Upper Midwest.

Veterans Affairs Medical Center
The Veterans Affairs Medical Center located, approximately 17 miles south of Rice, serves the needs of veterans in the Rice area. The facility has a 567-bed medical center providing medical, psychiatric and long term care for men and women.
