Benton Communications
Benton Cooperative Telephone Company, with their office in Rice, serves the City of Rice and the surrounding areas. The office is equipped with a digital switch and has all underground buried facilities. Benton Cooperative Telephone Company provides equal access, custom calling and CLASS features available, such as Caller ID, Automatic Recall, etc.

Cable Television Service
Benton Communications
Benton Communications and Sales Corporation, a subsidiary of Benton Cooperative Telephone, with their office in Rice, serves the City of Rice with cable television service. Current basic service consists of 25 channels and the following premium channels: Cinemax, Disney, HBO and Showtime.

Waste Water Treatment Facility
The collection and treatment of all waste water generated in the City of Rice is serviced by the City. The treatment and collection facilities were constructed in 1988. The city also purchased enough property at that time to double the pond capacity for future growth.
Water Services
The water facility for the City of Rice is municipally owned and operated. Its operations include operation, maintenance and repair of all facilities necessary for the production, storage and distribution of water to residential, commercial and industrial customers with the City. The present system has a pumping capacity of 500 gallons per minute. The system also has a treatment facility which was constructed in 1994. This facility was constructed to remove possible contaminates, as well as any excess minerals from the water. The system has a 200,000 gallon elevated storage tank, which currently has a 50,000 gallon per day demand.
